~~Hi! My name is Georgia and if you are looking for a southern gal, then your search is over! I am a purebred red with very short and smooth coat. I just love to sit with my humans in the recliner or couch; a regular love-bug!  I will lick your face a bit but not overwhelmingly. I will sleep in the big bed with my humans all throughout the night without any problems! I am such a good and well-behaved southern girl! My foster mom says that I am pretty much housebroken except when it rains. I do best if I am taken outside as soon as I wake up in the morning, after eating and occasionally throughout the day and before going to bed for the night. Mom doesn’t feed me after the dinner hour so I do not have any accidents during the night. I walk well on the leash and tolerate being around other dogs and considerate kids. I have a tendency of gobbling up my treats and will try to snatch treats from my fur siblings, otherwise, I am not bossy and just want to be by your side.I tend to be a dominant female, but I play well with my fur brothers. My foster mom has not seen me really playing with any toys, yet but she calls me a work-in-progress on that subject. I do not bark much except when my foster mom returns home from work. For the most part I am very quiet and reserved. My foster mom says that I do not bark like the other dogs; it’s more like a hoarse sound and I was born this way. I do not jump on the furniture and need assistance getting up and down from the bed.I would be great being in an apartment or with a senior citizen and I am so easy to fall in love with that I would definitely make someone a great companion! I am a five year old, 12 pounds of love, spayed and microchipped. I am healthy, heartworm negative, UTD on all of my shots.

Adoption Fee:  $275.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $145 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.

Transportation Help
If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
