Hi.  My name is Belle.  I came to Little Paws Rescue because someone in my family got very sick.  I miss my family but I am adjusting very quickly to a new life as a foster.

I am a senior who loves to cuddle under blankets.  I also like to perch on top of the couch to see all the activity in my back yard.

My dog pal Tex is showing me around the back yard.  There’s lots of snow right now so my trips outside are quick and purposeful…pee and poo….and then back in where it’s warm.  I’m sure when it gets warmer I will enjoy all the fun things that await me in the back yard.  I am very curious about the two dogs I hear barking next door.  I can barely see them thru the fence.  Can’t wait until warmer weather so that I have more time getting to know them.

This weekend I met what my foster mom calls “the littles”….her grandchildren.  I liked them very much and enjoyed the extra attention.  I really enjoyed lying on the couch under the blanket with them while they watched a video.  My foster mom said it must be a good movie because they watched the entire movie…..I hate to tell her that it was me, not the movie, that was so attractive.

My foster mom says that I am very well behaved in the house, I listen well and I always sit by the door when I have to go outside.  Because I’m such a good girl, I am what she calls a “free ranger”….I get to roam the family room and kitchen while she’s at work or she leaves the door of my kennel open and sometimes I’ll nap there.  At night, I get to sleep in the big bed with Tex.

I’m easy-going and get along well with everyone.  I hope you will consider me as your new fur-baby.

Adoption Fee:  $250.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $135 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.

Transportation Help

If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
