Hi my name is Albert and I am 4.5 years old. I am told I am the quietest little boy my foster mom has ever had at her house. She also says I am a very loving little boy with a gorgeous coat of brown, red and white. She says I am a Dapple Dachshund and I have a brown nose and a very regal stance. I am cautious at first but I will warm right up to you when I figure out that you love me with all of your heart.  I will follow you everywhere and there is nothing I love more than to play fetch.  I've torn up a few tennis balls already and love a good Kong. I carry the ball around trying to get your attention in hopes that you will throw it for me so I can retrieve it.  I really love squeaky toys and treats and my favorite spot is my pet bed. I also really love playing with other dogs (big or small), as long as they are not alphas.  I get very nervous about sudden moves so small children might not be in my repertoire but I don't mind mature children and especially like older people. If you want to pick me up, please let me know you are coming. I like a little warning that things are about to change. My foster mom is very happy with me because I am potty trained and I even use the doggy door.  When outside, I love to lay in the sun and run and chase my ball. I enjoy walks on a leash too.  I know I can be shy and scared at first, but will you give me a chance.? I really am very loving and just want a great lap to share. Once I fall in love with you, there's no parting.

ps. I do not like the sound of Velcro either. Please just speak to me gently when you want to put my collar on or pick me up to go out.

He just needs someone to be patient with him and love him and he'll shine.   Fill out an adoption application today:   http://littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724
