My name is Ruby,I am a young female mini black & tan dachshund with a splash of white on my chest.

I am very sweet but can be shy & skittish when I first meet someone.   A quiet home would be ideal for me, but I would love a canine companion to offer me guidance and to provide company for me. 

Too much activity in a home would be very overwhelming for me, so a home with lots of children or animals is not a good fit.

I do great with other small dogs & cats.

My foster parents say I have the silly & typical dachshund behavior like burrowing under the blankets, highly food motivated, playful & love to sniff around the yard!

I would prefer a home that is fenced in where I can run, play & stretch my little legs.
My past home did not provide the proper care,love & socialization skills i needed.

I would love parents that will take the time to teach me trust, accept love & work on potty training. Mostly I just want someone to hug, love & let me feel safe.

I am still working on my housetraining, so whoever adopts me will need to be patient with accidents and be willing to work calmly with me to teach me how to potty outside.

For just a small little girl, I can bring so much love & happiness to your home if you would just give me a chance. There is nothing more i would like than to run & play with you.
