Milo is a sweet 12 year old gentle soul.  He is looking for a family that loves older dogs and will understand that he is an old fella with difficulty seeing and hearing.  Milo walks around the house quite a bit, but will lay by your feet if there is a blanket on the floor.  He also loves to snuggle on the couch with you.

Like many seniors, Milo may not see or hear very well, but gets around great.  He gets along with other dogs but, would be happy to be the only dog or share his forever family with another senior dog.  Milo has a comfy crate available to him, but he prefers to relax on a soft dog bed.  He will “make his bed” on his dog bed while giving a few gruffs while getting settled.  He sleeps the night through and does not need a bathroom break.

Milo likes to be where you are. If you move out of his sight, he will let out a soft, deep, throaty “frog” bark.  Because of his limited eyesight, Milo is not good with steps. He can manage one-step like a door step, but cannot go up and down porch or deck steps so needs to be carried up and down.

Milo enjoys hearing his name said out loud, and wags his tail to greet you at the door when you come home or when he wakes up.

If you are looking for quiet, low maintenance elderly dog, who needs patience with his potty training, and have a one level home with one step or less, for Milo to live out his life quietly and calmly, then Milo is your pup.

Adoption Fee:  $150.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $135 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.

Transportation Help

If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
