I’m Dozer, the chiweenie. That’s a cross between a chihuahua and a dachshund -- two pretty adorable dogs mixed together. I’m all about mixes – I’m a lover-boy lap dog but I also like to run and play. I like to snooze next to you on the couch then go outside with you to see what’s going on in my territory. My senses go on high alert – did I hear something, smell something, see something? I love it out there. My foster mom says I’m extremely affectionate with lots of energy and sass. I like when she scratches behind my ears…makes me close my eyes and sigh. I sometimes dance on my hind legs when I want to get her attention. It works every time. I’m just a little guy weighing in at less than 10 pounds. One of my cutest feature is the white tips on my paws. I’m living with four other doxies and we all get along so well. I chase them…they chase me. I love being among dogs my size but I’m not too fond of big dogs. I was rescued from a shelter in South Carolina but that’s all Little Paws knows about me. What I know is that I’m a handsome and well-mannered fella looking for someone who might want a walking buddy, a snuggle buddy, and a snack buddy. I can’t wait until I find my forever home.
If you want more information about Dozer please contact her foster mom, Sabine (sabinewilson@msn.com).

Adoption Fee: $275.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law). Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.
TRANSPORTATION HELP! If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
