Joey is a 14-pound estimate 2-year-old chocolate and tan Dachshund.  He and his buddy Kenny were left in the yard that his prior owner rented in 100-degree weather when he moved and couldn’t take them.  He was heartworm positive and went thru his treatment like a champ and is now heart worm free.  He is the sweetest guy that loves people and children. He appears housebroken and he is crate train. He does require a stuffed toy at all times. He even likes to take it out for potty runs with him.  Joey is a pure gem .

Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses. This $125 fee is non- refundable if the dog is returned to the rescue. TRANSPORTATION HELP! LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
