Hi! I’m Shirley June or SJ for short. I’m just about one of the cutest puppies you will ever meet. I love people, other dogs, and cats. I also love to eat, nap, snuggle, and play…typical puppy stuff. I have a moderate amount of energy so I think that I could live in a house with a fenced backyard, a townhouse, or an apartment. I have not been walked on a leash yet, but I am sure that with you at my side, I’ll love exploring the big new world. I am still very young and not house trained. I know what I should do when I am let outside, but if I have to go, inside is as good as out. I sleep in a crate with my siblings, but I’m much smarter than they are. They walk right in there and wait to be tucked in. Not me! I want to keep on playing so, I use my amazing agility to evade the humans who have arbitrarily decided it is my bedtime. I am a bit mischievous and I have my own ideas on when it is time to go to bed or come inside. I need a home with a person or people who will be patient with me as I grow up. I have a lot to learn and I will make mistakes. In return, I will make you laugh, give you kisses, snuggle, and give you unconditional love always.

Adoption Fee: $350.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law). Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $135 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.
Transportation Help
If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
