Are you looking for a love bug to be part of your life? You may have just found one. I'm Dusty and am equal parts cuddly teddy bear and Curious George. Isn't that what you'd expect from a young pup? I'm only 7 months old and was left on someone's doorstep in a box. Some good people at the rescue took me in and got me up to date with all the vaccines and vet care I needed to be healthy. Now, I'm looking for my forever home. I need someone who is patient and will help train me on my house manners and listening skills. I’m learning to walk on a leash and am doing fairly well. I'm sleeping in a crate at night without a peep but don’t like to be crated during the day when I see a lot of activity going on without me. I'm living with 5 other dachshunds and get along with everyone. I'm the smallest of the group at 8 pounds but the biggest in personality. My foster mom says I have the cutest dance steps. I dance on my hind legs to get her attention (and it usually works). Adoption Fee:  $350.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $135 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses. 

Transportation Help

If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
