My name is Abby and if you are looking for a companion couch potato, then your search is over! I am a very sweet girl with a short and smooth coat. I just love to sit with my humans in the recliner or couch; a regular love-bug!  I am not big at licking your face but I show my love in other ways! I will sleep in the big bed with my humans all throughout the night without any problems! I love to burrow under the covers or under a blanket. I am such a good and well-behaved girl. My foster mom says that I am housebroken even when it rains and also crate trained. I do best if I am taken outside as soon as I wake up in the morning, after eating and occasionally throughout the day and before going to bed for the night. Mom doesn’t feed me after the dinner hour so I do not have any accidents during the night. I walk well on the leash and tolerate being around other dogs and I just love kids. My previous owners loved to take me out on a kayak and I do well on boats. I am not bossy and just want to be by your side. My foster mom says that I am not a dominant female. Every once in a while, I like playing with a few soft toys, yet but my foster mom calls me a work-in-progress on that, but I do like playing with my fur siblings. I do not bark much and will “talk” a little when I want something. For the most part I am very quiet and reserved but I will bark some if someone comes to the door but I will stop barking once they come inside. I would be great being in an apartment or with a senior citizen and I am so easy to fall in love with that I would definitely make someone a great companion! I am 3 ½ years young, 17 pounds of love, spayed and microchipped. I am healthy, heartworm negative, UTD on all of my shots.

Completing an Adoption Application:   http://littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 Adoption Fee:  $275.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional non-refundable $145 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.    Transportation Help If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
