Hi! My name is Ginger. My mom was a dachshund and all my siblings have short legs and long bodies. I am special. My legs are long and I am quite a bit bigger than all of them. I will probably grow to between 25 and 30 lbs. But, who knows? I could end up being smaller or a bit larger. I love people, other dogs, and cats. In fact, my BFF is a cat. I have not met any human children yet. They might scare me at first. But, I think that I would love them too. I am very affectionate and a great cuddler. I am working on my house training. I still have a few accidents in the house. I am crate trained. I don’t mind spending time in the crate so long as I get a Kong stuffed with peanut butter.  I like to sleep in the big bed. I sleep soundly all night. I have quite a bit of energy. I like to run and play. I’d love to find a home with a fenced backyard. A doggie friend would be nice too. But, I could get along without one so long as my furever family could play with me and take me for walks. When playtime is over, I love to snuggle. I like to curl up on the couch, watch TV, have my tummy tickled, and give gentle kisses.

Adoption Fee:  $350.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional non-refundable $145 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.   

Transportation Help If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
