Hi! I’m Ziggy and I’m looking for my forever home. I am one of the most handsome black and tan boys you will ever meet. My foster mom calls me Zigman. She likes to chase me around the house and yard playing tag with me and I absolutely love it. I am a youngster still; I just turned 3 years old. My absolute favorite toy is my Giggle ball. I get along well with other dogs. I like to take walks with my foster brothers and I snuggle under the covers with them. I love food, but get itchy if not on a grain free diet. I love all veggies and fruit especially watermelon. My favorite place to sleep is the big bed but I love fluffy blankets so I’ll sleep in my crate sometimes if you need me to, or on a comfy dog bed. My obsession is throw pillows, I love to throw them around.

Note:  Ziggy must be adopted within 75 miles of Salisbury, MD so folks interested in opening their home to him can come and meet him. Ziggy is what rescuers call a reactive dog.  He barks, lunges, and becomes very vocal when pushed beyond what he can comfortably handle.  When he reacts this way, he is saying, “Give me space!” We can’t change Ziggy’s past, but we can do everything in our power to ensure his tomorrows are bright and filled with fun.  Ziggy is not a bad or dangerous dog; he just needs an adopter willing to train and resocialize him.
