Nadine
Jake Henry is a gorgeous Black and Tan longhair dachshund. He weighs 13 lbs and is approximately 5 years old. He gets along well with other doxies but is afraid of larger dogs. Rides well in the car and is great on a leash. When he arrived he was very skittish and everything frightened him. Now he is much more relaxed and happy. Jake loves to play with Squeaky toys and wrestling with one of his foster buddies. He is a Velcro dog and loves to be with his people. He prefers women but will warm up to a man given some space and love. He loves to roam the yard and keep the squirrels from taking over the bird feeders. He would do best in a home where someone is home most of the time. We are still working on his marking behavior but that is getting better.

Jake Henry is wonderful with children of all ages.

Completing an Adoption Application:   http://littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 Adoption Fee:  $275.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional non-refundable $145 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.    Transportation Help If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
