I’m Lilly. My foster mom tells me I’m the perfect package: I’m house trained, I know some commands, and I love to cuddle and get belly rubs. I like to be stroked down my back and my ears played with. I enjoy playing with and chewing on soft toys. I take my meds very gently twice a day. Did I tell you I’m a professional belly rub taker? My coat is so incredibly soft, and you feel better after stroking me.  I like being around other dogs, but I am also okay on my own as long as I get attention, cuddles and belly rubs.  At night, I like to sleep in the human bed and do not move or snore the whole night. I can also sleep in a dog bed at night if you don’t want me in your bed, but I like to be near you.  During the day when my foster mom goes out, I have a nice soft bed, and a pee pad…just in case she’s gone too long.  I am good with children, as long as they are respectful and their parents teach them Dachshund etiquette. I go up and down carpeted stairs, the porch steps, and ramps and through the dog door without problem.  If I cannot see my Foster Mom, I walk around looking for her until I find her. I walk well on the leash.  I can be mellow and just relax with my human on the couch or on a dog bed it you are in the kitchen or office. I need a house with a soft dog bed, and people who like belly rub down time with a belly rub loving Dachshund like me!

Transportation Help

If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
