Hi! My name is Carla. I am a very sweet girl with a soft but thick cream long coat. I hardly ever bark and my foster mom hasn’t been able to tell when I want something. I do not know how to play with toys or chew on a bone. I do like to be around the other dogs in the house but I do not know how to play with them. I will nuzzle their ear or lay with them. My foster mom is trying different treats with me to see what I like and do not like. I am very quiet and spend most of my time on the couch or on the big bed. That is the only place my foster mom can pick me up from, otherwise, I will run away from humans. I am not housebroken but I will potty on a puppy pad. I have slept in the big bed with my foster mom and dad, and I do great in the big bed. I would be great being in an apartment or with a senior citizen and I am so easy to fall in love with. Until I learn that I can trust my humans, I am not so much of a companion. I should not be adopted into a home with young children as I appear to be frightened of their loud screaming. I am 6 years old, 16 pounds, spayed and microchipped. I am healthy, heartworm negative, UTD on all of my shots.

If you are interested in Carla please complete an application now.   Completing an Adoption Application:   http://littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 Adoption Fee:  $250.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional non-refundable $145 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.    Transportation Help If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
