Hi! I’m Linus. I’m just about one of the cutest and sweetest puppies you will ever meet. My dad is a purebred dachshund. Mom is a dachshund mix. My brother, sister, and I look very much like dachshunds. We have short legs, long bodies, and floppy ears. We will probably grow to be 10 and 20 pounds. I love people, other dogs, and cats. I also love to eat, nap, snuggle, and play…typical puppy stuff. I am full of confidence and can be a little bit bossy. Mostly though, I am just looking to have fun.I have a moderate amount of energy. I think that I could live in a house with a fenced backyard, a townhouse, or an apartment. I have not been walked on a leash yet, but I am sure that with you at my side, I’ll love exploring the big new world. I am still very young and not house trained. I get the idea of pee pads, but sometimes I’m so busy that I forget. I sleep in a crate with my siblings. I know when it is bedtime and I curl up in the blankets without any complaints. I love to play with my brother and sister and the three kittens who are also staying at my foster home. We chase each other and wrestle. When play time is over, there’s nothing better than snuggles with my human foster family. I really enjoy eating. I tried eating regular puppy kibble, but my teeth are so small that I had a lot of trouble chewing it. My foster mom found some puppy kibble for small dogs. That suits me just fine. I know I have a lot to learn and I will make mistakes. In return, I will make you laugh and give you kisses and cuddles.

Adoption Fee: $350.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law). Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $135 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.
Transportation Help
If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
