Hello!  My name is Ginger and I am 12 yrs old,  my birthday is August 5, 2005.   My old family was no longer able to care for me so I have been living with a very nice foster family,  I have a pretty cool 12 yr old dachshund foster brother named Cooper,  we get along very well!
I have become very attached to my foster mom,  I want to be wherever she is.  We are cuddle buddies on the couch and I love to snuggle against her at night in the big bed.  Sometimes Cooper and I cuddle in bed too and my foster mom goes crazy taking pictures because she says it's sooooo cute!
I absolutely love being outside and exploring, I also LOVE just laying In the grass and enjoying the fresh air.  I am potty trained but my foster mom keeps pee pads out just in case,  I have used them 2 times since living here.
I am the mayor of my foster neighborhood and love to alert my people of anything and everything going on outside.  My foster mom says I "talk" even more than Cooper and she never thought that would be possible hehe.
I think my ideal forever family would be one where someone is home most of the day as I get a little anxious when my people leave but seem to do ok while they are gone.  My foster mom does not work so she is with me a lot which I love.  I would really enjoy a fenced in yard to be able to freely enjoy the outdoors.   I struggle a little bit with stairs due to my flat front right foot but it doesn't slow me down too much.  I have mastered the 3 stairs to go outside and am getting used to using my couch stairs.  Foster mom and dad carry me up and down the big stairs to go to bed.
I think a home with smaller dogs like me would be ideal and no small children.
I had a dental last month and lost 21 teeth but now I feel so much better and my breath smells beautiful!  Thank you for reading my bio,  have a great day!

Love, Ginger

Adoption Fee:  $150.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $135 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.

Transportation Help

If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
