Hi! I am Princess. I am an adorable, lovable, huggable mini-dachshund.
I am an active little lady, so please don’t expect me to be a couch potato for a few years. Nevertheless, I love to be picked up and cuddled.
My housetraining is decent as long as you keep an eye on me and get me outside often. I can be left alone in a room for an hour or two, but any longer and I need to be in a crate (I am crate-trained) or in a room that can be easily cleaned up.
I would love to have a securely fenced yard to explore, but the fence must be VERY secure as I am small and could easily get through gaps or holes in any fence.
I can be in a multi-dog household, but it may take a few days to get to know and be comfortable with the other dogs—especially if any of the others are considerably bigger than me. This is one situation in which I will bark a lot. (Hey, I can be a diva if I want to be—my name IS “Princess”.) This is one area in which I could benefit from a basic obedience class
I am used to eating in my crate and will run to the crate when I see my food bowl.
My biggest pet peeve is getting my toenails trimmed. Don’t look for my cooperation, but it may help if someone tries to distract me with a constant flow of treats.
Please adopt me with my best buddy Pablo who is a fantastic dachshund wannabe.
For additional information please contact my foster mom Lorrie (dachsielover@verizon.net)

If they are adopted in New England there is an additional $150 (for each dog) to cover regulatory requirements
Transportation Help
If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
