Hi! My name is Almond Joy, but I love being called “Joy”. I was rescued from an awful hoarding case where there was crowding, poor nutrition and confinement. I am so grateful to Little Paws for rescuing us, but I really want my very own forever family.

If you are looking for a companion and if you like to give belly rubs, then we will definitely be a match made in heaven! I just love my belly rubs!  I am proud to tell everyone that I have caught on to house training and am really reliable if you keep me on a schedule.  I seem to prefer woman over men and really enjoy the company of other dogs.

I would be great with a senior citizen and I am so easy to fall in love with that I would definitely make someone a great companion!

Note: Almond Joy came into rescue missing her coat along both of her sides from flea dermatitis and poor nutrition. She is currently being fed a limited ingredient dog food and we are hopeful that over time with a little TLC she will one day have a beautiful black shiny coat.

If you want to know more about me please contact my foster mom, Vivian at fortsonviv17@gmail.com.

The adoption fee for Almond Joy is $275. If Almond Joy is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law).  All dogs adopted in New England are charged an additional $150 to cover regulatory requirements.

Transportation Help

If you see a fur baby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to transport the dog to you.
