My name is Sophia and I’m a four year old, super spunky dachshund.   My sister Greta and I are looking for our forever home together.  I am a little shy when I first meet people, but I come out of my shell pretty quickly.   I’m a sweet girl but I can be a little bossy sometimes and I love to bark.   My foster mom is working hard to try and break me of this bad habit, but it’s so natural to me.   Maybe a little help from training will get me to stop.   Other than my barking, my foster mom says that I’m just a lovebug and so good.   I am fully house trained and love to be outside!!!!   I love to nap and sleep with my sister in the crate and we are very quiet during our sleep times.    We love each other and keep ourselves busy together.  Please consider us for your home, we are lots of fun and will keep you smiling.

Note: Greta and Sophia will not be transported and must be adopted within 100 miles of the metropolitan Boston area.

Adoption Fee:  $450.00 (for both Sophia and Greta) + $45.00 for a health certificate (for each dog) if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $135 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.
