Hello hoomans, my name is Sammi. I'm a mini wire haired girl who just turned two years last month. Even though my previous family could no longer take care of me, I was very much the apple of their eye. They taught me to be a well mannered little lady and to love everyone I meet.
In my current foster home, my foster brother is showing me how to play wrestle, hunt down squirrels, and trick our foster mom into giving us more treats with the "puppy eyes" look (though she says I'm too good of a natural). I've been rocking a mohawk since birth, which my vet says is totally normal, healthy, and has no negative effects. What can I say-- I'm a trendsetter! I'm also about to graduate Doggo University with straight A's in potty and crate training.
Even though I'm mellow at home and want nothing more than to sleep through the day, I love to be outside. My favorite activity is going out for a stroll and meeting new people and dogs. I'll come charging through the house the minute I hear the leash clip click!
I was an only child in my previous home but I also love having fur siblings. I'm happy in any type of home (but no cats since I've yet to discover what their real motives are in life) as long as I can snuggle up with you on the couch or go on a hiking adventure.
If you're interested and want to know more about me, please contact my foster mom Claire at cswei08@gmail.com. You can also follow my daily adventures on Instagram: @ruffnrolldogs.

Adoption Fee: $275.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law). Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $135 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.
TRANSPORTATION HELP! If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
