My name is Stevie. My younger sister, Morgan, and I were named after NHL players but, for the life of him, our foster dad can’t figure out which ones (maybe Steve Yzerman and Morgan Rielly?). Anyway, our military dad got transferred to a base overseas and, with a new baby in the house, they decided it was best for us if we found a new fur-ever family. Thanks to LPDR, we are well on our way!

Let me tell you about myself. I was born on August 27, 2015 and am up to date on my shots and am heartworm negative! My foster dad just took Morgan and I to the groomer to get a haircut, but I am very fluffy as you can see so it doesn’t look like much was cut off. You can see my feet now though, and the fur on my tail doesn’t drag the ground.

Speaking of, I love to wag my tail and I love getting rubs on the head. But, I REALLY love belly rubs. I am usually always wagging my tail if you are looking at me, but I love to lay around in my big dog bed when you are busy doing something else. I also LOVE squeaker toys, but my favorite thing to do is to have you throw it and I will chase it down and bring it back for you. Sometimes my sister likes to get in on the game and steal the toy from me, but I will just find another one to bring to you.

I love going for walks, but I do just fine if you let me out in the backyard. I know my name very well (I have been known to answer to Stevie Wonder and Steves), and will always come when you call me. Morgan and I can always tell when it’s time for our foster dad to leave the house, so we both know when to go in our crate. We prefer to be in the crate together so we can cuddle until he gets home.

As far as other animals, we have a 9-1/2 year old foster brother named Barron. We do just fine with him because he loves to lay around too! As long as you take us potty before bed, we would LOVE to sleep in the big bed with you, but we will do just fine sleeping in our crate

Adoption Fee: $450.00 (for the pair) + $45.00 per dog for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law). Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $135 (per dog) non-refundable fee to help cover a portion of these expenses. Transportation Help - If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
