Beanie Weenie aka Beans

My name is Beans and I am ready to fine a new forever home.  I am a beautiful red male, 9years old, weighing in at a svelte 13 lbs.   My owners could not keep me any more, because they were gone a lot and I stayed cooped up in a crate.  

I like to get to know you before I want you pick me up.  But once I know you, I will give you all kinds of kisses.  I bark like normal dachshunds, but nothing excessive. I can be possessive of toys.  I am house trained if kept on a schedule, will go in a crate willingly and great leash manners.

I have been an only child until my foster home.  I have 2 foster doxie brothers and 1foster sister that I enjoy being around.  I have really bonded with my foster dad. I love to sit in his lap.  I think I would really like to be an only dog, or maybe one sibling with a guy or couple who does not work or is retired.

Adoption Fee: $250.00 + $45.00 for health certificate if going over state lines (required by law). Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state department of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $135 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses. 

Transportation Help

If you see a fur baby that is a match for your family, don't let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
