Hi! My name is Pippin and I am 2 1/2 years old. I am a standard sized doxie, not a mini, and not a tween! I weigh approximately 23 pounds. My foster mom says I am a good boy!! I like to play with the other pups here in my foster home, so a home with another pup around my age that likes to play ("wrestle" or "zoomies") would be great or a home with active humans would also be great as I like to go for walks and play fetch!  My foster mom says that I am also a really quiet dachshund! I do bark sometimes, but not a whole lot. It takes me a few minutes to warm up to new people...I like to sniff them for a little bit and I can be cautious around kids at first too. Once I know they are ok then I am ok too! I also know basic commands like sit or stay! My Foster Mom says I have what's called a "sensitive tummy", I have to be on a grain free dog food. And I also can't have cheese because I am lactose intolerant.  I am really good with my potty habits if kept on a schedule. If you have doggy door like my foster home, I can just go outside anytime I need to go potty! At night I sleep in a crate in my foster home's room, next to her bed...I sleep the entire night!

If you have any other questions just email my foster mom! She will be happy to answer them. And just because I am in Arkansas doesn't mean I can't travel (I do love a good car ride!) We do have transports, both paid and volunteer, that can help get me to my forever home ( my foster dad is also a truck driver and has helped get pups to their forever homes too)!!

Adoption Fee: $275.00 + $45 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).   Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an $135 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.
