Hi!  My name is Sparkles.  I came into rescue from a retired breeder and unfortunately have had very minimum physical contact with people and have had virtually no concept of what to expect (or what is expected of me) when I arrived at my foster home.  I never learn to trust, to love, or to play.  My life wasn’t unpleasant, but it is the only life I have ever known.  I am very submissive and simply don’t know what to expect.  I have made progress since coming to my foster home but  I will need a forever family with lots of patience, understanding, love, and probably most importantly, unconditional acceptance of what my limitations may be.

I love being around other small dogs and I enjoy small amounts of affection from my foster mom, but I am not ready to come to people I do not know.  I let my foster mom pick me up but she always talks to me and lets me know what she is doing.

Note:  Sparkles  forever home must have a small companion dog and a securely fenced back yard (no chain link fences).  She also must be  adopted within 100 miles of her foster home in Salisbury, MD.

If you can find room in your home for Sparkles please contact her foster mom Jessica at jesslynenglish@gmail.com and she can tell you all about me.

The adoption fee for Sparkles is $300. If Sparkes is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law).
