Hi!  My name is Sammy and I'm 8 years old and a svelte 10 pounds!  I am settling into a foster home after losing the only family I have ever known.  My foster mom has given me several gold stars for (1) getting along with my foster siblings, (2) sleeping quietly through the night, (3) walking nicely on a leash, (4) being a good eater and (5) a super couch snoozer.  Because I am a dachshund it’s super important that I not jump on or off furniture or climb too many stairs so I am in search of a forever family that will protect my back and carry me up and down full flights of stairs.

The adoption fee for Sammy is $250. If Sammy is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law).  All dogs adopted in New England are charged an additional $150 to cover regulatory requirements.

If you see a fur baby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to transport the dog to you.
