Hi! My name is Duke! I’m an 11 year old Brindle Boy that found myself surrendered half bald with an arthritic limp to a shelter after years of neglect. Little Paws heard about me and came to my rescue though! I am safe and feeling so much better now! My hair has started to grow back, but may never fill back in completely because I was neglected for so long. Foster Mom says I am such such a LoveBug and so Handsome that it doesn’t matter if I am missing a little hair on my back and bum! I will need to continue taking Thyroid medication which is relatively inexpensive. Being a typical Doxie I can be a little hardheaded when it is raining or cold about going outside to potty. Foster Mom puts a belly band on me if I won’t go. Boy is that embarrassing!! Then I wish I had just listened to her and pottied outside with my fur buddies! I love everyone I meet and am dog friendly, but no cats please! I love toys, bones, and sunning in the back yard! Foster Mom thinks I would do better in a warmer climate since I have arthritis in my leg and a bald bum! My absolute favorite thing is snuggling up next to her under a warm cozy blanket! Did I mention that I like to “talk”? No worries about ever forgetting my meal time! I will remind you with my irresistible big puppy dog eyes and sassy personality!
