Hello, my name is Shorti! My foster mama likes to call me Super Shorti because of my super-sized ears. I am such a sweet, lovable, gentleman and I hope to find my perfect forever home soon.  My favorite thing to do is burrow in blankets and snooze throughout the day. I also love to sit on my foster parents laps while they work from home. I am currently staying with three other miniature dachshunds and we all get along just fine. We go on walks together and I enjoy being outside with them. Overall, I am very laid back and just like to go with the flow. I don’t need much excitement in my life and am content to relax at home.

My previous owner found me tied to a tree, and she couldn’t believe someone could do that to a sweet little dog like me so she took me into her home. There I lived with a kitty and a young baby, but the baby took up most of my owner’s time so she had to give me up.

If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, lovable guy to warm your lap than look no further!

Please contact my foster mom Wendy at wendy@rothschell.com if you would like more information about me.

The adoption fee for Shorti is $150. If Shorti is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law).  All dogs adopted in New England are charged an additional $150 to cover regulatory requirements.

Transportation Help

If you see a fur baby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to transport the dog to you.
