Hello, there! My name is Dash and I was an owner-surrender to Little Paws rescue with my sister Crème Brulee. I am a very sweet boy with gorgeous red coat, but my foster mom says that I am a handful. I am learning to share my hooman’s lap with the other dogs. I also tend to be more partial to my momma than my pop-pop as my previous owner was only my momma. I tend to not respond to my pop-pop, especially when my mom is around.  I will bark if I hear something that I don’t know what’s going on or I hear another dog barking, but I calm down fairly quickly. I love to play with toys and chew on bully sticks or rawhide AND I just LOVE to fetch a ball or another toy that you throw, so my foster mom really thinks that I should be in an active household with someone willing to play with me for long periods of time. That’s when I am the most happy. I tend to leave furniture or other wooden/plastic things alone but I will pull the stuffing out of stuffed toys and tear apart tennis balls, if they are left with me. My foster mom has starting seeing me play with my fur-siblings but I do not do well to sleep in the big bed with them at night. Nor will I sleep with my foster mom and dad in the big bed. A work-in-progress, I guess. I am pretty much 100% housebroken but all bets are off, if it’s raining outside. My foster mom is very pleased that she hasn’t found any “presents” in the house for over a week, now! She is also very pleased that I do not mark inside the house or outside, either. She says that I am such a good boy! I would be great being in an apartment or with an active senior citizen and I walk well on a leash. My foster mom says that even though I am a pretty active guy, I am still really easy to fall in love with. I am 5 years old, 13 pounds, neutered and microchipped. I am healthy, heartworm negative, UTD on all of my shots.
