Hi there! My name is Trixie Lee. I am a 6-year-old miniature wirehair doxie. According to my foster mom I love everyone. I love to cuddle, I love to be groomed, and I love car rides. I like to do just about anything, but I have to do it using my pink wheels because I have intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) and can no longer use my hind legs. Everyone is my friend…. older folks, younger folks, and all dogs (big and little). I adapt right away to new surroundings and new people.
Trixie must be adopted by someone with experience with a paralyzed dog who can meet her needs. Caring for Trixie or for that matter any paralyzed dog is a commitment and one that requires a lot of work. For the right owner caring for a paralyzed dog can be a truly rewarding experience and one that brings you and your dog closer together.
For more information about Trixie please contact her foster mom, Donna, at dads1955@hotmail.com
The adoption fee for Trixie is $275. If Trixie is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law).
Transportation Help
If you see a fur baby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to transport the dog to you.
