Sheila was pregnant when she was found as a stray. She had 5 healthy puppies! Now that her puppies are weaned Sheila, who is only about a year old, is looking for her forever home. She is a sweet girl who loves her people. Cautious around strangers but once she knows you she will want to be with you as much as she can. For that reason she would do best with not being left alone all day. Sheila would be fine as an only dog as she loves to get all the attention. That being said, she is ok with her 4 foster siblings other than some food aggression. Has not been around cats or small children. Even though she is young, Sheila is not crazy active and likes to cuddle on the couch and will be your lap warmer. Sheila will also let you know when someone is at the door but is not very barky otherwise. An all round sweet girl...could she be the one for you?

You can find the adoption application at: http://littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724

The adoption fee for Sheila is $325. If Sheila is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law).  All dogs adopted in New England are charged an additional $150 to cover regulatory requirements. Transportation Help If you see a fur baby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to transport the dog to you.
