Hi! My name is Nathan (as in hot dogs!). I am 11 years old, but you would never know it. Most senior doxie have gray and I have not one single gray hair. I weigh abpit 15 lbs. I had a nice life before I was rescued but my human dad got sick and passed away. I was left totally on my own with no one to take care of me! Luckily, I was rescued by the nice folks at Little Paws and I was transported all the way from New York to my foster mom in Maryland. I live with my foster mom and her fur babies. The doxies have welcomed me and taught me their routine. We have a nice fenced in yard and we go for walks. I love going for walks and I walk well (although maybe a little fast) on the leash. I love running in the yard too! My foster mom thinks that I need buddy to keep me company. I like to play with small squeaky balls, but I will not always bring the balls back to you. I also like squeaky toys. I love humans too. I love to cuddle next to my foster mom or have her hold me while she rocks in her glider chair. So relaxing! My foster mom babysits her 2 1/2 year old twin grandsons and I like them a lot!
I am almost 100% house trained. I go out with the other dogs whenever we are asked if we want to go out. I sleep in a soft sided crate at night and have not had any accidents. We all go out in the yard with foster mom before going to bed. (It works for us!)
If you want to know more about me please contact my foster mom Rosanne at rcstev3@aol.com
The adoption fee for Nathan is $150. If Nathan is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law). All dogs adopted in New England are charged an additional $150 to cover regulatory requirements.
Transportation Help
If you see a fur baby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to transport the dog to you.
