* PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO BEFORE APPLYING FOR ELLIE & FRANK WHO ARE A BONDED PAIR. THEY NEED A SINGLE FAMILY HOME (NO APARTMENT, CONDOS OR TOWNHOMES)WITH A FENCED YARD NO PETS AND NO CHILDREN*
Frank came to Little Paws with his bonded mate, Ellie. Both were neglected, and Frank had heartworm, whipworm, a GI infection, and fleas. He has spent many months in treatment and is finally heartworm-free! Frank & Ellie will need a home with a patient adopter, someone who has dachshund experience and will get them basic obedience training, and they need an adopter who is home more often than not. Frank & Ellie can be vocal when left alone, so an apartment or shared walls will not work for them.
Frank loves exploring and hunting, so he requires a nice, securely fenced yard.
Frank loves (adult) people and wants to sit on your lap and give you kisses. They do best with each other as pet companions and need to be the only dogs in the home.
Frank & Ellie are smart, beautiful, and curious! They are active and playful. These six-year-old precious pups will be adopted together.
Frank has mild allergies that are controlled with OTC eye drops.
If you have room in your home for both Ellie and me and would like additional information about us, please contact my foster Dad Steve at spamram@pobox.com
You can find the adoption application at: http://littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 The adoption fee for Frank and Ellie is $275 (for each dog) or $450 (for both dogs). If the dogs are adopted over a state line, there will be a $45.00 charge (for each dog) for a health certificate (required by law).
