Meet Mario & Bentley! These boys are 8 & 9, respectively.
They have loved every person they’ve met so far, but they prefer small-medium dogs as they’re so little.
They were great with their foster mom’s cat, as well as her busy family.
Bentley does not like any roughhousing or yelling, so a quiet home may be best for them. Mario is happy 24/7, his foster mom joking that he has “springs in his legs.”
They are still working on leash manners but were great in a fenced yard with zero escape attempts.
Potty training - they have the ability to be 100% potty trained. A belly band the first few days is a good idea, and pottying immediately after dinner has worked best.
Mario came in with some skin irritation. Both boys eat Purina Pro Plan (sensitive skin & stomach, small breed) soaked in warm water. They need to be fed separately (Mario steals Bentley's food).
The boys sleep either in bed or in their Xpen (with lots of blankets) from 9 pm-8 am. They are great in the kennel as long as they are separated from the action - they prefer to be included.
Because Bentley is a double dapple, he does have limited vision in each eye - though you’d never know. Evenings outside, he’s a little more careful on his rounds of the yard, but it doesn’t slow him down any.
