Hi,

My name is Sandy. I am a cute dachshund mix puppy about 5 to 6 months old. My sister Kiwi and I traveled all the way from Arkansas to find our own loving families. I weigh about 14 lbs and am bigger than Kiwi. I will probably grow to tweenie or small standard size. Like all puppies, I have quite a bit of energy that needs to be burnt off every day. I love being outdoors. My sister and I have a great time chasing each other. We also enjoy lounging around on the couch and watching TV. I am very affectionate and love to be close to humans. I particularly like having my tummy tickled.

I have a lot to learn to become a well-mannered dog. I am working on house training. I do quite well-using pee pads, and I am catching on to going outside. I am crate trained. Of course, I would much prefer sleeping somewhere near a human or another dog. I get along with cats, although I think it might be fun to chase them. Unfortunately, the cats that live at my foster’s house know all about puppy antics and don’t like to participate. In fact, they can get a bit snippy about it.

I am being spayed on March 2nd. I will be getting microchipped and a rabies vaccination at the same time. I should be ready to go home a few days after my spay. I will be up-to-date on all puppy shots.
