Peanut is a 10 year old senior dachshund that loves to give kisses and be petted. This sweet guy prefers to sit on your lap and will be his human’s shadow, and is very excited to see them when they come home!
Once Peanut warms up, he is good with people and dogs, barks at cats. He will generally stop barking after a few minutes. He walks well on a leash and is pee pad trained. Peanut does ok in the car but is a bit nervous. He does not like to be crated.
Peanut is on a diet and needs to lose about five pounds. He will do better if separated from other dogs at feeding time because he will try to eat from all the bowls.
His foster mom says he is an “easy dog”.
If you have room in your home for Peanut and would like additional information, please contact his foster mom, Celeste at ccblake1970@att.net You can find the adoption application at: http://littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form. The adoption fee for Peanut is $150. If he is adopted over a state line, there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law).
*Peanut’s adopter must be willing to commit to his weight loss goal.
