Say hi to Sissy! She is bonded with her sister Sophie. They have been in the same home together for over 8 years and will be adopted together. Sissy is a senior gal at 12 years old and weigh approximately 12  pounds. She gets along with her foster parents' 3 family pups. While in foster care, Sissy was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease, which is maintained with daily medication. She also has some residual knee issues. Sissy takes  7.5 mg Vetroyl twice daily, as well as Gabapentin as needed for any knee discomfort.  While Sissy's Cushing's is under control, having had very little control of her bladder when coming into foster care, she can have some accidents at times. It is recommended that Sissy visit the vet 3-4 times per year to ensure her medication is effective for her Cushing's. Sissy is very in love with her sister Sophie. She grooms Sophie with lots of cleaning and kisses. Sissy is crate trained. She loves food and will try to steal the other dogs' food.

For more info on sister Sophie: Sophie is a senior gal at 11 years old and weighs approximately 12  pounds. She gets along with her foster parents' 3 family pups. During routine blood work, Sophies liver and gall bladder levels were slightly off, so she has been on medication (Denamarin and Urosodiol) to maintain good levels.   The vet says Sophie's levels are managed well with medication and that you wouldn't know she has a medical issue. Sophie is an IVDD survivor and should be monitored for pain/flare ups. Sophie has a happy and silly temperament and often makes her foster family laugh. Most of all, Sophie loves to be groomed by Sissy. She does not seek out any other dogs in her foster home.

The adoption fee for Sissy & Sophie is $350. If they are adopted over state lines, a $45 health certificate per dog is required by law.
