My name is Daisy Duke and if I do say so myself I am freaking adorable! I am a 10 pound Black and Tan mini-dachshund, only 1 1/2 years old. My first people were in something called the military and got stationed far away and they didn’t want me kept away from them in something called a ‘quarantine’. Since then I’ve been living with my foster mom and dad in Baltimore.
I love them so much and they’re helping me find my forever family which is my dream. I’m super affectionate and my favorite thing to do is lay on my mom or dad’s lap, giving kisses. Sometimes we have the best snuggle time and my feet hardly ever touch the floor! I do have some times during the day when I’m really energetic but by 7 p.m. I’m ready to chill on the couch. Foster Mom says I am smart and eager to please and I’m doing great with my potty skills. I don’t like to potty on my walks but am happy to go in the backyard. I get a little uptight when we meet new people and dogs and sometimes growl. I'm really trying to stop being so vocal so often. It's just that I have a lot to say! I do not like sharing my foster mom and dad and my toys and my foster home so hopefully when we find my forever home I will be the only dog! I think I've got a big enough personality to fill up a whole house! So there won't be any room for other dogs (cats too). I’m also not crazy about riding in the car because it makes me feel icky.
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about me. If you think you would love to be my person, please put in an application. I promise you won’t be disappointed! You’ll find that I’m an awesome little bundle of love.
The adoption fee for Daisy. Duke is $325.00. If she is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law). Transportation Help: If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation.
