Alvin and Benson are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Alvin and Benson will not be placed in a home with children.
Alvin is a 7 year old smooth chocolate dapple. Benson is a 6 year old smooth wire brindle. These buddies came to the Little Paws family as an owner surrender. The boys are house trained and crate trained, but will require an experienced adopter who could give them plenty of exercise and training. Their personalities complement each other; Alvin is mischievous; Benson is more laid back. Alvin guards "his" possessions; if he has a toy he will not let go and will growl. He is food motivated and has a spunky personality. Benson is sweet and loving. Although the boys are with a foster mom, they seem to prefer men. They are good with other dogs. Because Alvin can be snippy, they will not be placed in a home with children.
If you are looking for double the love, and have the time and energy Alvin and Benson need, please contact Kathleen, Little Paws Foster Coordinator for MD at kathleensterling50@gmail.com or contact Foster Mom Lorrie at dachsielover@verizon.net.
If you would like to adopt Alvin please complete an adoption application at http://littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724. The adoption fee for each boy is $275.00. If they are adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge (for each dog) for a health certificate (required by law).
Transportation Help: If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation.
