Honey came to Little Paws after being shot in the back. An “Honorary Dachshund”, we believe she is mostly a Jack Russell Terrier mix.
She underwent surgery on her spine and is now able to walk again.
This smart girl has learned the commands “Honey, go poop” or “Honey, go potty” and she will do her business! She is able to control her bladder and doesn’t urinate in the house.
She is as sweet as her name and gets along well with dogs her size (small to medium, about 25 lbs). She also does fine with cats. Honey loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home, as well as a squeaky toy. She is protective of a bone, so her foster mom separates her for that special treat.
Shy at first, she warms up fast and does well with everyone she meets. She does great in the car and loves it when the window is cracked a bit for her.
Honey does not bark much and walks well on a leash and harness.
This cuddle bug has come a long way from the dog rescued from a gunshot! She has tons of love to give her Forever Family!

Transportation Help: If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation.
