Marty would do best in a single-family home since he can be vocal.

Meet Marty!  He's a 'high energy' 3-year-old dachshund/beagle mix. He gets along with all dogs and humans, but would do best with older, respectful children. Marty is a gentle soul who loves attention, cuddles, and most of all walks. He needs an active family who'll spend plenty of time exercising and playing with him in a fenced yard. A dog buddy would be great for Marty.

He's a gentle boy who's sensitive to loud noises, raised voices, sirens, and loud cars. Separation anxiety has been an issue for Marty – he needs his person around more often than not. Marty is house-trained and crate trained.
