ROXIE REQUIRES A FENCED-IN YARD. SHE HAS NOT LIVED WITH OTHER DOGS OR CATS, SO SHE WOULD DO BEST IN A HOME WITHOUT OTHER DOGS. SHE NEEDS TO BE ADOPTED TO A SINGLE-FAMILY HOME. NO CONDOS OR TOWNHOMES WITH SHARED WALLS SHE IS VOCAL. ROXIE CAN NOT BE ADOPTED TO A HOME WITH YOUNG CHILDREN. 

Roxie is 7 years old and is 11 pounds of pure sweetness. She loves cuddling, riding in the car, and mealtimes. When you sit down at the end of a long day, Roxie is there to greet you with a hug by climbing up and putting her front paws around your neck and her head on your shoulder. Roxie is housebroken and rarely has accidents in the house. She will use a pee pad if necessary when left alone, but she does not enjoy solitude and would love a person who is home more often than not. Roxie is not a fan of the leash and will require a fenced-in yard where she could roam and sniff to her heart’s content. Roxie is a watchful guard dog and will bark at any new person or noise, so she would do best in a home with no shared walls. She has not been tested with other dogs or cats. Roxie would do better with older, respectable kids and will not be placed in a home with small children. She is learning her manners with her human’s food and is making progress. She makes up for what she lacks in table manners at night when she snuggles into her blankets (on your bed, of course) and goes right to sleep. If you’re looking for a Level 5 snuggler and the sweetest gal around, Roxie is your girl!

Transportation Help: If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation.
