Let me introduce Snoopy; he is a fabulous mix of Dachshund/Scottish Terrier. Not sure if they call that a Derrière, lol, or a Scottshund.

Either way… he's downright adorable and will make your heart skip a beat.

Snoopy is Approx 5 years old and weighs 15lbs.he  is laid back and sweet. He loves to cuddle and enjoys the company of other dogs. He is an excellent car rider. Snoopy was pulled from a shelter and would be completely unrecognizable compared to the handsome guy you see now. He's got a spiffy new haircut and a real pep in his step compared to the scared, itchy-matted guy we first met.

The most adorable thing about Snoopy is that he can smile on command; that's one smart pup.

Just like his namesake, the comic book character, this Snoopy likes to do a little dance. He can also play fetch for hours and loves a good outdoor sniffing session. After all, the world is one big snuffle mat when you're a dog. We have never tested Snoopy with cats, so we can't be sure how he would react around them. We also have not had Snoopy in a home with children. Therefore, we want Snoopy to go to a home with only older respectable children. Snoopy has skin allergies, so he will need an adopter willing to continue with the allergy medication, veterinary care, and quite possibly a special diet to help manage his allergies.

Snoopy ticks all the boxes as a great companion. He has done well when left at home alone.

He is crate trained, and house trained in his foster's home. However, there are no guarantees that he won't have a few accidents when he moves into a new family situation. Snoopy would really love a backyard to explore and play fetch. He loves to go for walks and does well on a leash. Snoopy has excellent manners and will not get on furniture unless he's invited. He uses a ramp or stairs to get up. Snoopy loves sleeping in a big bed or dog bed and is quiet all night.

Snoopy needs to live in a single-family detached home because he enjoys barking, especially when visitors come to the house.  However, once  he is properly introduced, he quiets down and allows them to pet him and give him treats.

Snoopy has skin allergies that will continue to require veterinary care, medications, and possibly a special diet to keep them under control.

Transportation Help: If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don't let distance stand in your way of adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport or refer you to a paid transport.

Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by state departments of agriculture that may include a short stay in quarantine. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and some dogs going to New England states may be charged an additional $175.00 to cover compliance costs.
