Tracy needs a home where she will not be left alone for longer than 4 hours.
Tracy is a 5 year old red smooth dachshund who was surrendered when her owner could no longer care for her. In the words of her foster mom, "She is so sweet---she doesn't have a mean bone in her body!" Tracy is a "velcro" dog---she loves everything as long as she is close to you! She gets along well with the other small dogs in her foster home. She likes car rides and playing in her yard, but her favorite thing is snuggling with you on the couch! She is working on her leash training and has made a lot of improvement. She is crate trained and house trained, although she does have an occasional accident when she gets excited. She is cautious and timid at first when meeting new people, but will quickly warm up and be friendly. While Tracy gets along well with small dogs, she is very fearful of large dogs and will bark at them. Tracy will do best in a home where someone is home more often than not.
If you would like more information about Tracy, please reach out to her foster mom Krista at Krista.hart1990@gmail.com.
