Things to know about Jackson:
No cats or small prey animals in the house
Gets along with other dachshunds and dogs his own size, but not with smaller or larger
dogs
Love outdoors, space to roam preferred, fence preferred

Meet Jackson! He is a 12-year-old, low energy, Isabella tan dachshund. He has sensitive skin and uses a medicated shampoo for baths. To support his sensitive skin, Jackson takes salmon
oil once a day and melatonin at mealtimes. He needs to limit exposure to sun with a sun
blocker or by wearing a doggie shirt. Jackson is a super sweet, well behaved boy. He listens very well and has great recall. At 13 pounds, Jackson is house and crate trained. He tolerates car trips, but with some whining. Most of all, Jackson loves the outdoors! It is his favorite place to be. He loves sniffing around and exploring.

Jackson is a barker, but years ago he underwent devocalization and now has a softened bark.
Jackson gets along with other dachshunds and dogs his own size. However, he does
not like smaller or larger dogs. We do not recommend cats or other small prey animals in the home. Jackson welcomes friendly adult human strangers into is home and he is good with children provided they respect his boundaries.

Jackson is being fostered in Haverhill, MA with his foster mom Maria. For additional
information, please contact her at damareda@aol.com . If you would like to adopt
Jackson, please complete an adoption application form by clicking on
https://www.littlepawsdr.org/adoption/adoption-applications/ .
The adoption fee for Jackson is $200. If dogs are adopted over state lines, there is a
$45.00 fee for each dog for a health certificate as required by law.

Transportation Help: If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don't let
distance stand in your way of adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer
transport or refer you to a paid transport.
