Things to know about Lola:
-
Needs a home with no shared walls
-
No apartments or townhouses
Lola is a super cute 1-year-old wire haired chocolate and tan dachshund mix weighing approximately 10 pounds. Lola is a playful young pup. She has a fun playful personality and is very affectionate. She is looking for an active adopter who will be able to give her ample opportunities for enrichment and engagement.
Lola is working on house training and is doing well with routine and structure. She will do best in a household in which someone is at home most of the time or someone who can take her outside for potty breaks and exercise periodically throughout the day. Lola is crate trained.
Lola is a vocal dog. She barks when she hears someone at the door or other dogs barking and when she sees someone walk by her house while she is looking out of a window. She can only go to a home without shared walls (no apartments or townhouses). Lola would really love to have a securely fenced yard to run and play fetch. She does not have much experience walking on leash and is working on feeling comfortable in a harness. Car rides are not her favorite things to do and sometimes she does a bit of whining. But she’ll do whatever it takes to be with her people and settles in.
Lola likes people. But she barks at strangers when they enter her home and when she is out walking on her leash. She calms down when offered positive reinforcement. Lola’s foster mom has not observed her with children. But she expects that Lola will be fine with respectful children.
Lola gets along with her foster mom’s dogs although her exuberance sometimes overwhelms them. She barks at dogs she doesn’t know that she meets while out walking on her leash. We don’t know what she thinks about cats.
When we asked her foster mom what she likes most about Lola, she said that Lola is a goofy girl and so much fun!
Lola is currently living in Chattanooga, TN with her foster mom Ali. For additional information, please contact her at

ve applied for is not able to travel long distances by car. A paid transport can also be arranged for any dog that does not have travel restrictions.
Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by state departments of agriculture that may include a short stay in quarantine. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue and some dogs going to New England states may be charged an additional $175.00 to cover costs of compliance.
