Things to know about Chuchi.  Chuchi is Koji’s soul mate. He adores her and is lost when she is not around. The two pups are happiest when they are together and must be adopted as a pair.

Chuchi requires medication to control high blood pressure and she is allergic to chicken meat and cannot be fed food containing chicken.

Chuchi weighs approximately 11 pounds and is a sweet old lady. She loves walks, playing with Koji when she is so inclined, and sunbathing. Like any true dachshund, she burrows under blankets to get as warm and cozy as she can. She loves the company of people and would do best in a household in which someone is home most of the time.

Chuchi is house trained. She has never spent time in a crate but does well in a pen.  She gets along with dogs of all sizes. Being a senior dog, she doesn’t feel that she has to put up with any nonsense from young pups. She won’t hesitate to put them in their place.

She would love to have a fenced yard in her new home. Her foster mom says that Chuchi enjoys chasing squirrels and lizards. But her favorite outside activity is sunbathing. She enjoys riding along in the car and is perfectly calm and contented leashed to her seat for safety.

Chuchi loves adults but is cautious until she gets to know them. She does not
care for children. She finds them to be too loud and fast-moving for her. She isn’t fond of
people on skateboards or scooters either. However, people on bikes are just fine. She is not a particularly vocal dog and should be fine living in a home with shared walls.

When we asked her foster mom what she likes most about Chuchi, she said, “Chuchi is a cuddle bug. She is happiest when she can chill out and snuggle up close to her favorite people.”
