Bubba is a 13-year-old, 12.5 lb dachshund who is bonded with Molly. Both pups are extremely sweet dogs. Bubba is friendly and calm and loves to communicate in little grunts and snuffles. Sadly, their owner had to relocate and couldn’t take them, so now they are looking for a home together to share all their cuddles with a new family.

 

Personality

Bubba is calm and friendly, great with people and animals, and will even curl up to nap with a cat. He’s equally happy to explore outside, play with toys, or be your shadow and escort you around the house. 

 

Environment

Both are house-trained so long as they are on a schedule!  but may have the occasional accident if not monitored. Bubba is fine to be crated but would still benefit from someone who is home more than not, to keep him and Molly in a routine and provide ample attention in their twilight years.

Bubba greets new people or packages whenever someone comes to the door or into the house, but not for long, and should be ok in a home with shared walls. They enjoy walkies but will bark to meet people and dogs when they walk by. Quieter walking routes may be a bit more peaceful, or he’s happy to just explore a fenced backyard.

 

Pets & People

Bubba is great with people of all ages, but yet untested with small children. We don’t foresee any issues as he’s a chill guy and very sweet and patient. Both Molly and Bubba are so docile and love other dogs. They are even great with the foster cat! Bubba has no food aggression but may occasionally try to help slower dogs eat.

 

Health

Bubba completed Heartworm Treatment while in foster care, However, will need to be retested in her forever home. Bubba is in great health overall.

 

Location

Bubba and sister Molly are available for adoption from Sugar Hill, Georgia. Bubba is ok with travel but can be a little whiny. A crate or seatbelt harness helps him feel secure.
