• Gilly needs to be adopted within 100 miles of his foster home in Baltimore, MD.

Gilderoy (aka Gilly) is a smooth hair gray dachshund mix who came to Little Paws as a stray. He weighs 10 lbs and is approximately 6 years old. Gilly is a happy, affectionate, friendly guy who loves walks and snuggling with his person. His foster mom says her favorite thing about him is - He is very Velcro and wants to be right with his human all the time.  He’s also just beautiful.  Gilly loves to play, chase squirrels, and walks well on a leash.  He is friendly to new people and when he visited the vet, he was the snuggle star getting hugs and kisses from everyone!  He gets along well with other friendly dogs and would love a buddy, but he also would be fine as an only dog.  He loves playing with his toys and is also very intelligent and obedient.  His all-around favorite thing is snuggling in his human’s lap.  Gilly is not a big barker and would do well in a home with shared walls.  He loves his food but does not guard it if you come near him.  Do you want a car ride buddy?  Gilly is your guy since he loves the car!

Gilly will need an adopter who is home more often than not.  He is mostly house trained but needs to be taken out frequently. He's a work in progress and a belly band may help while he's in training. He just loves his people and wants nothing more than to be near you.

If Gilly is adopted over a state line, there will be an additional charge for a health certificate (required by law) of anywhere between $45.00 and $150.00. The amount depends upon what the veterinarian charges LPDR.

Transportation Help: If you see a dog that is a match for your family a LPDR volunteer transport may be arranged to bring the dog to you. However, some of our dogs have distance restrictions and need to be adopted within a specific number of miles from their foster homes. Gilly is one of these dogs and needs to be adopted within a 100-mile radius of his foster home in Baltimore.
