Dreyfus is a black and tan Chiweenie clocking in at 6 years and 12 lbs. He’s a very sociable little lad who loves his people and his doggie friends! His previous owner sadly passed away, but you can tell he lived a life of care and has a lot of love to lavish on a new family.

Environment & Training

Dreyfus is house-trained and sleeps through the night. He is fine being crated or left out in the house. The perfect lap dog, Dreyfus doesn’t require a lot of exercise and would be fine without a yard or with a less active family, but he is not suited for a home with shared walls as he has a big bark for a little guy! He is nervous for the first few minutes in the car, but then settles in and is content to sleep. 

Dreyfus would prefer if his people were home and not to be left alone too much since he is very devoted. Someone who wants some company while they work from home would be the perfect match—he will sleep quietly next to you while you work and provide snuggles when you need a break. 

Pets & People

Dreyfus has been wonderful around dogs of all sizes, cats, and kids. No food or resource guarding has been observed in his foster home. He gets excited for visitors and happily greets them once inside, and is only a little skittish of strangers in public but warms up very quickly.
